ClearCorrect is a good choice if your teeth are crowded, crooked, misaligned, or if you have a dental malocclusion (bad bite). ClearCorrect is especially effective if you have a severe overbite, rotated teeth, or excessive gapping. There are many treatments to improve the alignment, spacing, and bite, but ClearCorrect has additional advantages. The clear aligners make it difficult for others to tell you are wearing orthodontics. The aligners are also removable so they can be taken out when you eat, clean your teeth, and for special occasions. In contrast to Invisalign (a similar system of removable aligners), ClearCorrect is made in the United States and is normally less expensive. When you come to our office for a ClearCorrect consultation, our team can explain all your orthodontic choices and answer all your questions to decide if ClearCorrect is the ideal method for you.
What to Expect
When you select ClearCorrect, we will take digital x-rays of your teeth and jaw and impressions that will be used to make your aligners. Once we receive your aligners, a team member will contact you to schedule a fitting. You can expect to make appointments every two weeks. During this time, we will check on your progress and issue replacement aligners as your teeth and bite move. If you lose or damage one of your aligners, just give us a call, and we can have replacement aligners made so it is possible to continue treatment without waiting until your next appointment. Depending on the position of your teeth and the amount of correction needed, your prescribed orthodontic care could last 12 – 24 months (about eight phases of treatment).
You will need to attend regular visits so that we can check your progress and make adjustments as needed. It is also very important to keep your teeth and the aligners clean so you do not end up with tooth decay. Brushing your teeth, flossing, and using mouthwash after you take out the aligners is a good habit to start with. You should also rinse or clean the aligners before putting them back in your mouth. It is also advisable to store your aligners in their protective case during meal times so you do not lose them.
Once your treatment is finished, you may have to wear a retainer to help keep your teeth from moving back to their original position. You must continue to schedule annual dental exams at SEDA Dental so we can monitor your bite, alignment, and overall oral health.
Our financial team will go over cost estimates during your consultation. They will also tell you the different payment methods we accept, including medical financing. If you have dental insurance, a team member can contact your provider to ascertain your benefits and calculate your out-of-pocket costs.
